1. Business Development Workshops

Thinking about starting or growing a business? DePauw University with the Indiana Small Business Development Center offer two targeted programs to support entrepreneurs at every stage. The New Business Development program includes 12 sessions covering the fundamentals of launching a business, while the Existing Business Development program offers 6 sessions focused on strengthening operations, increasing sales, and planning for growth. Both programs provide practical resources, training, and guidance to help your business succeed. Both programs are free. There is limited seating, so be sure to register early.

4. Networking Opportunities for Small Business Owners

Starting and running a business can be challenging, which is why connection matters. Main Street Greencastle offers industry roundtables for small groups of downtown businesses and property owners, like retail, restaurants and bars, tourism partners, etc. can come together to focus on what matters most to them and move together collaboratively. If you’re interested in these, please email hello@mainstreetgc.org to inquire about the next meeting date.

We also encourage businesses to join the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, which hosts networking opportunities that allow small business owners to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another. These gatherings focus on timely business topics, provide practical insights, and create space for collaboration and mutual support. Learn more: https://www.goputco.com/lunch-learn-series.
